Hulk issue #100 is filled with lots of extra pages. Got to get it guys.
The first story is another Planet Hulk and while I appreciate the change of pace and the fact we get to see the Hulk in every issue on almost all the pages as compared to some of the recent past issues where we only got a couple of Hulk action pages per book, I have a hard time getting into all those weird alien bug creatures and what nots. The second story was my favorite and it featured a young genius who takes the Hulk's side here on good old planet Earth. He hacks into Mr. Fantastic's computers and gives the Fantastic Four leader a piece of his mind concerning tricking the Hulk into outerspace. His arguments for the Hulk went way back to some of old favorites like when the Hulk defeated an entire space armada to save the White House way back in the Reagan Era. Excellent story and it just reminds me of how much I miss the old Hulk tales even the ones when Banner took over the Hulk's body back in the 80's. It was fun to follow along that year as the Hulk returned more fierce than ever.
On the downside I wasn't too thrilled with the alternate alien worlds Dr. Strange sent the Hulk to that year. Reminds me a lot of the Planet Hulk storyline actually.
Classic cover when the Hulk saved the White House.
Well back to issue 100. There are also three classic reprints. One story origin retelling, and a two parter. Half of which I already read since I have the original book, but the other half was new to me. Get it Hulk fans. It's worth a read. Just can't wait for the Hulk to get back to Earth and see what effect he has on the Civil War. That should be interesting. |

| Hello there,I'm so thrilled to hear the hulk will reappear back on the silver screen. I'm a 40year old male who grew up with comic books. I'm hoping that this 2nd coming of the hulk will have more distruction than the last and also may some deleted scenes when the dvd comes out or even a alternate ending. I think like most people that this is worth it's weight in gold. Please throw in the kitchen sink when it comes to this new release! I love superhero's on the silver screen, but I love the green guy who can express himself without being stopped by anyone!! Even my kids love superhero's and the special effects you guys bring to life. The more the merrier I say!! Your biggest fan of superhero's David!!!! | |
