The Incredible Hulk tv show starred Bill Bixby as David Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk. Of course the comic book version was Bruce Banner, and the Hulk could talk and was a million times stronger. Stan Lee commenting on the name change said basically the studio didn't want Banner to be named Bruce. Too wimpy they said. They were lucky they didn't make him angry. They wouldn't have liked him.
