Craig Armstrong's evocative score for The Incredible Hulk tells a listener much about the bearing of the movie it accompanies. Even without seeing it on a screen, the music is indelibly marked with both the color of night, and the tumultuous inner life of the titular character, trapped in his unshakable reality. While there are plenty of passages suffused with the increased pulse rate of dynamic action, much of this double disc set is potently emotional. There are tensions and momentary resolutions; there are longings punctuated by islands of fleeting calm. This score also contains a treasured piece from the Hulk's history: "The Lonely Man" theme as interpreted by Armstrong. I have enjoyed listening to this Double Disc Edition score. I'm a big fan of Movie scores/soundtracks and this one did not disappoint. It was such a great price. Even on Itunes it was going to cost significantly more. I liked that it has an ominous, sometimes melancholy and yet powerful sound. There is an enjoyable variation in the music as you feel the anticipation and energy build during the action sequences, and then switch to a more dangerous, introspective, tragic sound. Rating: - Pulsating with orchestral energy and musical hormones!
Film scores have this tendency to sound the same (possibly because they are influenced by the studios and cues of a handful of composers) - but the musical score from The Incredible Hulk stands out - massive and perfect like Hulk himself.

This music was incredibly awsome! I had never heard of Craig Armstrong before and was surprised at how good this music sounded. I love the way he uses the strings and precussion. This music is truely incredible!

The complete score, you can't go wrong with that. This is the first score I've bought from Craig Armstrong, and he seems capable of action music and subtle underscore, though this score suffers the same problems as many others: repetition. He uses the same action motifs over and over, but that's not too bad.
